ConfluenceES founder Daniel Heimel has 20 years of water industry experience including engineering, operations, and regulatory compliance services for water and wastewater utilities. Combining technical expertise with extensive experience facilitating multi-stakeholder water projects allows Dan and ConfluenceES to provide a wide range of engineering consulting services that can support utilities in managing their water systems.
Dan is a registered professional engineering with a Masters' degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from California Polytechnic State University - San Luis Obispo. During his free time Dan enjoys exploring and adventuring in the watersheds of the major and minor rivers in the Western United States.
Nate Page joined the ConfluenceES team in the summer of 2024. He is a licensed Professional Geologist and Certified Hydrogeologist with a Masters' degree in Hydrogeophysics from Colorado State University - Fort Collins. For over 16 years Nate has supported his clients with sustainably managing their water resources through his experience in hydrogeology, hydrology, analysis of groundwater basins, and management of water resources
Additionally, Nate has qualifying experience in surface water/groundwater interaction and Groundwater Dependent Ecosystem (GDE) studies, Sustainable Groundwater Management Act (SGMA) and development/implementation of Groundwater Sustainability Plans (GSP), well siting/design/installation, aquifer testing and analysis, 3D geologic modeling, and development of groundwater model grids. In his free time, Nate loves exploring the expansive ocean and mountain landscapes of Central California.
Jamie joined Confluence Engineering Solutions in 2023. She has a Bachelor’s in BioResource and Agricultural Engineering from California Polytechnic State University and research experience with denitrification bioreactors. Jamie is a certified Drinking Water Distribution Operator (D2) and a Drinking Water Treatment Operator (T2). Growing up in San Luis Obispo, Jamie is excited to be a part of the ConfluenceES's team supporting Central Coast utilities in managing their local water resources. In her free time, Jamie enjoys walking her dog, rollerblading, and working on art projects.
Charlotte joined Confluence Engineering Solutions in the summer of 2024 as an Assistant Water Resources Engineer after earning her Bachelor of Science in BioResource and Agricultural Engineering from California Polytechnic State University. She has extensive experience in water market research, water supply valuations, and analysis of conservation/demand in irrigation practices. With a particular interest in groundwater supply research, Charlotte is eager to continue working on SGMA compliance projects and GSP implementation at ConfluenceES. Charlotte enjoys golfing and playing guitar in her free time.
Ben Weaver joined Confluence ES as an Water Resource Intern in 2024. He is entering his third year at California Polytechnic State University and is perusing an undergraduates degree in Civil Engineering. Ben is excited to learn about Central Coast water resource management while he is a part of the Confluence team. In his free time, Ben enjoys spending time outdoors skiing, surfing, and perusing weather forecasts for his various adventures.
